Dave, how does it work if you take a girl from Passions back to your hotel for the night, and then you decide that you'd like to keep her for a few days. The Passions menu says that all girls have to be back by 10:00 am, and a 23-hour stint costs 7,500 RD$. That could get pretty expensive over the course of a few days. Is it possible to work out some kind of a package deal for multiple days? And if so, would you work it out with the girl or with Passions management?

One thing everyone should remember is if there is no money to be made - it only opens the door for crime - check out the crime report in San Jose since all the Gringo harassment - we have a choice where we want to go - if your not welcome don't go.

I know what your thinking - but I believe that the more reasons have to go to Sosua the more people will come - and the more people the more girls - Costa Rica has the Del Rey which is the main attraction of San Jose - price's start a $ 100 - not everyone likes to pay $100 so there are 55 other places all within a square mile price's range from $10 - $50 - just look at Vegas something for everyone - people bring people and people spend money.

Cooking1976, you shouldn`t worry about that, Sosua used to be full of tourists a few year back, and it was all the same. Now tourism is picking up, may new businesses are opening but life`s the same. A big difference is that there`s less open hotels but far more people coming to private villa or condo rentals. Price on anything will always be better to those who are savvy on negotiation....

the key to success in cuba is renting a casa particular. it's basically a local's house that's authorized by cuba for rent so that they can make money. usually you can get these for 30-45/nt. hotels will not allow the chicas back unless you basically bribe the security guard, which jacks up your vaca expenses. there are girls there, there are girls everywhere in cuba. just have to look. walk the malecon, the clubs are pouring over with them. they start at 100 and you negotiate with them down to 40-60. done and done. obviously getting to towns outside of havana will increase your chances of getting to a cheaper, non pro chica.

the current tax on US dollars to exchange them is 10%, it isn't 20%. there are several licensed organizations that are providing, "religious, humanitarian, educational" trips to cuba. you'll likely pay a lot extra to do so. otherwise you can fly to a gateway country and then on to cuba. if you're concerned about the double stamp, and there's a lot of reason to believe you shouldn't be, since there's literally hundreds of thousands of americans going to cuba each year (most unlicensed), you could fly into and out of a country that accepts birth certs and id's. show the passport when you arrive, use the bc when you leave, show the bc when you get back, show the passport when you leave. or you could ask the guy not to stamp your passport again, you're just going for a day or two, etc. . . remember they are very poor in cuba. . .and while the police are there "watching" for girls . .. there are plenty there and you're negotiating power is a lot better for chica pricing, since they are dirt poor and must make money like this. remember theres more of them than gringos with money and you have the power.

seems like's there's a lot of new businesses poppin up in sosua. i guess that's great. . but as the place gets more commercialized you do have to worry what that's going to do to chica pricing. a real draw to sosua, the DR is not the fact that it's accepted, it's that the pricing is a real value for the chicas. if that changes, people will go elswhere. can you comment on whether chica pricing is getting affected with the new business and more and more gringos headin' to sosua.
